We are the intelligence architecture firm behind InContext AI. We build the contextual layer that transforms raw information (documents, signals, conversations, regulations) into decisive advantage.

What does "contextual intelligence" actually mean?

Hyperscaler AI platforms are horizontal infrastructure: they move information between systems reliably and at scale. That problem is largely solved.

What no default foundation model carries is the layer above it — institutional memory of what your organisation already decided, real-time intent signals from your market, the regulatory environment you operate under, and the patterns that only appear when internal and external sources are read together. That layer is what we build. We provide judgment, not just data plumbing.

It ships as three connected products. ContentHub holds internal context. PulseMI captures external signals. InContext PR turns both into grounded output. Legal Intelligence and Logistics Intelligence are on the roadmap.

Context Engine the company, and context engineering the practice

These are two different things and the names collide, so it is worth being explicit. Context Engine Ltd is a company: an intelligence architecture firm registered in Kenya, founded in 2024, that builds and sells the products listed above. Context engineering is a general discipline in AI — the practice of deciding what an agent should remember, retrieve, and release.

We write about the discipline in our journal because it is our field. But "a context engine" as a generic component is not what we are. When you see Context Engine, ContextEngine, or contextengine.tech, that is us.

Where we are, and who we serve

Context Engine Ltd is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and operates under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. The platform is delivered as a cloud product and used by enterprises and agencies worldwide, with no regional restriction on customers.

PulseMI includes a specialised African media layer because that coverage is genuinely differentiated in the market — not because the product is regional. Everything else in the platform is built to adapt to whatever market, regulatory environment, or industry vertical a client operates in.
